Center of Excellence for Biomedical Research of the University of Genoa  (CEBR).
The CEBR  was founded  during the year 2000  when , following a nationwide contest among the Italian Universities,  the MIUR ( Ministry of University and research)  selected 11 proposals for setting up  centers of excellence aimed to develop and establish research activities in the country.
